Russia Seeks Iran’s Expertise on Wartime Emergency Response

IRNA

Russia plans to send a delegation to Tehran to learn from Iran’s experience in protecting infrastructure and providing emergency services during wartime. Russian Emergency Situations Minister General Alexander Kurenkov announced the interest on Saturday, according to Iran’s IRNA news agency.

Kurenkov stated that Moscow is focused on studying Iran’s methods for managing emergencies under conflict conditions. The move signals a deepening of practical cooperation between the two nations, which have strengthened ties amid international sanctions.

The planned exchange points to Russia’s efforts to bolster its own civil defense and resilience capabilities, extending the pattern of technical collaboration into civilian crisis management.
