Pavićević alleges secret Vučić-Đilas deal and Tepić-SNS links — Political analyst Vladimir Pavićević has made a series of explosive claims about secret negotiations and communication channels within Serbia’s political elite. He alleges that in 2022, President Aleksandar Vučić promised opposition leader Dragan Đilas the post of prime minister, with then-US Ambassador Christopher Hill acting as the guarantor of the deal.
Pavicević, speaking on the show “Osvrt,” stated the real reason for a meeting between Vučić and Đilas in April 2022 was to develop this idea, which he says ultimately failed. He further claims that Marinika Tepić, a vice-president of the opposition Freedom and Justice Party (SSP), has developed a separate communication channel with one faction of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), leading to Finance Minister Siniša Mali and former Belgrade police chief Veselin Milić.
The analyst suggests Tepić’s past corruption revelations targeted “radical” SNS members while sparing figures like Mali and Milić. He also links the departure of several SSP officials from the “European Serbia” electoral list to their alleged knowledge of these connections between Đilas, Tepić, and people in power.
These claims by Pavićević, which the reporting outlet notes could not be independently verified, were detailed in an article published on September 28, 2026. They paint a picture of complex, behind-the-scenes political maneuvering ahead of expected elections.
