Tupac Shakur murder — Duane “Keffe D” Davis, 63, has been convicted for orchestrating the 1996 murder of iconic rapper Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas. The verdict brings a long-awaited resolution to a case that has captivated public attention for nearly three decades.

Davis was found guilty of murder with the use of a deadly weapon, a charge that carries a potential sentence of life in prison. Prosecutors argued that Davis, along with others, planned and carried out the shooting that resulted in Shakur’s death on September 7, 1996, following a boxing match. The rapper died six days later from his injuries.

The conviction marks a significant moment in the investigation of one of hip-hop’s most enduring mysteries. Davis had been the only living suspect in the case, and his arrest in September 2026 was a major development. His trial focused on his alleged role in setting up the fatal confrontation, though he was not accused of firing the shots himself.
