Students in Blockade Declare: Serbia Will Not Impose Sanctions on Russia

The ‘Students in Blockade’ movement, running as the ‘Students’ List’ in Serbia’s upcoming snap parliamentary elections, has declared that the Republic of Serbia will maintain its principled position of not imposing restrictive measures against the Russian Federation. The group made the announcement in a foreign policy program published on its official social media account on September 30, 2026.

“Republika Srbija će zadržati principijalno stanovište o neuvođenju restriktivnih mera prema Ruskoj Federaciji,” stated the students. Their program argues that imposing sanctions reflects a political stance and does not contribute to solving challenges, citing Serbia’s own historical experience.

In the same post, the activists posed sharp domestic questions to the authorities, demanding concrete answers on issues like a recent stage collapse and alleged violence by candidates from President Aleksandar Vučić’s list.

The Students’ List is participating in the extraordinary parliamentary elections scheduled for October 25, 2026, under ballot number three.
